Financial Security Work:
Amanda’s research and outreach have included focusing on building family financial capability skills with various audiences and strengthening relationships within family serving organizations in the community. Amanda has been coordinating and teaching financial capability programs in Walworth County for the past 4 years. Financial topics discussed include renting, spending plans, tracking expenses, setting financial goals and credit. She also offers financial coaching sessions for individuals who would like support in reaching their financial goals.
For over 2 years, Amanda co-chaired the statewide UW-Extension Rent Smart team, providing leadership and coordination for virtual programming for both clients and professionals. Amanda’s Masters of Science degree is in Family & Consumer Sciences from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln.
