Covering Wisconsin, formerly Covering Kids & Families, is working on an initiative to create new materials that empower consumers to make sound financial choices about their health care. As healthcare choices can have a profound impact on our pocketbooks, consumers additionally need to understand how to effectively use their health insurance and engage in the healthcare system to get the best quality care. This webinar highlighted materials that professionals can use with clients to explain the intersection of health care choices and sound financial choices. These materials target consumers new to health insurance and the health care system, and use plain language, action steps, and iconic images to help make a complex topic understandable.
