CFS welcomes all researchers with scholarly interests and research activities surrounding household finances to become Affiliates or Research Fellows.

Affiliates must be members of the UW-Madison faculty. Affiliates have renewable, three-year terms.

Fellows are non-UW staff members, faculty members of other academic institutions, and financial professionals. Fellows have renewable, one-year terms. Benefits of affiliation include assistance with identify funding sources for research projects, and pre- and post-award administrative support. For a complete list of benefits, click here.

To Apply

The process for applying for affiliation is the same for both Affiliates and Fellows. Submit electronic versions of the following to Faculty Director J. Michael Collins at jmcollins@wisc.edu:

• A letter describing your completed ongoing research related to the CFS research mission
• A website link listing your representative work
• An up-to-date vita

The Faculty Director recommends candidates to the CFS Steering Committee for affiliation. The Steering Committee votes on the recommended candidates.
