Dr. Wendy Way is Professor and Associate Dean in the School of Human Ecology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and holds a joint appointment in the Department of Educational Leadership & Policy Analysis at UW-Madison. Her research focuses on enhancing economic opportunities and economic well-being of youth and adults through education and she has been engaged in a number of funded research efforts focused on financial literacy education. These have included assessing teachers' preparedness to teach financial education and examining how to harness the potential of technology to build financial capacity. Dr. Way has served as Editor of both the Family and Consumer Sciences Research Journal and the Journal of Vocational Education Research, has been a member of the Wisconsin Superintendent of Public Instruction Task Forces on Financial Literacy Education and Entrepreneurship, and has worked as an educational program consultant internationally. As Associate Dean in the School of Human Ecology, Dr. Way provides leadership for undergraduate and graduate academic programs and those that serve nontraditional audiences through credit outreach.
